Meghan Biss is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and she is our Executive Director. Meghan started out working with birth parents in September of 2012 and quickly moved up the ladder to the position of Executive Director. Meghan graduated with a BSW from Florida State University and then received her MSW from the University of South Florida. Meghan has worked with children in therapeutic foster care, family preservation as well as pregnant women and their families. Meghan is a die-hard Seminole fan!
Jennifer Mesen was one of our Adoption Coordinators who would predominantly work with birth parents, but as of recently she has moved into the marketing field here at Gift of Life. She now splits her time between working with birth parents and community outreach all over the state of Florida! Jennifer, who goes by Jenny, started as an intern in January of 2014 and was soon hired as a full time employee. Jenny graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida with concentrations in social work and psychology. and has experience working with children, outreach programs and pregnant women and their families. Jenny says that she wouldn’t live anywhere other than Florida!
Tina Shade is our Paralegal. Tina has worked as a Paralegal in the adoption field for 25 years. She started working with Gift of Life Adoptions when it opened its doors in 1994. Tina feels blessed to have been able to play a role in so many adoptions over the years. She still marvels at the selflessness of birth parents and the loving kindness of the adoptive parents. Tina has been able to see the full circle of adoption as she is now getting calls from adoptees who have turned 18 and are looking for their birth parents. Tina can’t imagine doing anything else!
Amanda Randolph is our Administrative Assistant. Amanda started working at Gift of Life Adoptions in September of 2014 after 6 years of working in the administration field. Amanda also works with adoptive families and birth parents coordinating Child Connect services for the picture and letter updates. If you give us a call, Amanda will be the one saying “Hello”.
Leah Wild is our Adoptive Parent Coordinator. Leah received her Bachelor of Science degree from Clearwater Christian College in 2007, and has been working in private, domestic adoption ever since. Over the years, Leah has gained a vast knowledge, working as a Birth Parent Coordinator, an Adoptive Parent Coordinator and as an Adoption Specialist. Leah understands that every adoption is unique and deserves individual respect and attention. She has a strong passion for adoption and believes that everyone involved in the process should be given opportunities, choices, and support services to make their process as positive as possible.
Tim Beasley is our Attorney. Tim has worked as our Attorney for four years. Mr. Beasley is licensed in both the state and federal courts of Florida and Alabama and has been practicing adoption and dependency law for over 15 years and he has been practicing law for a total of 22 years. Mr. Beasley graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. in History in 1983 where he worked in broadcasting until 1989. Mr. Beasley received his Juris Doctorate from Samford University and Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama in 1992. Mr. Beasley has worked in private practice as well as for the State of Florida Department of Children and Families, the Guardian Ad Litem Program, and the Office of the Regional Counsel before joining us at Gift of Life Adoptions.
